NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 & 4060 Ti Founders Edition GPUs are now available below their MSRP in China, making them a nice deal for mainstream gamers.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Available For 4599 RMB, RTX 4060 Ti For 2999 RMB In China As Founders Edition GPU Prices Fall Below MSRP
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 & 4060 Ti GPUs are a popular choice for gamers as they target the mainstream gaming segment. Both GPUs have retained prices close to their MSRP with a few price discounts here and there but it looks like retailers in China are offering a price drop for the official Founders Edition variants.
JD.com has the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Founders Edition GPU currently listed for 4599 RMB which is 200 RMB below its official MSRP of 4799 RMB. That's a $30 US discount and there's no official reason besides being a promotional drop. Same is the case with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Founders Edition GPU which is currently being sold for 2999 RMB while the official MSRP was set at 3199 RMB.
In the case of the GeForce RTX 4070, you can find specific variants for even less at 4449 RMB which is a 350 RMB drop versus the MSRP (close to $50 US). The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU has not been replaced by the RTX 4070 SUPER and it is found close to $500 in the US marketplaces. China has seen more heated competition in this segment with the likes of the Radeon RX 7900 GRE and the Radeon RX 6750 GRE which pose a big threat to both of these cards, offering far better value & gaming performance.
It was just recently reported how AMD had slashed the sales of the Radeon RX 7600 series and plans to keep on selling the RX 6750 GRE series as they are perfect at tackling the RTX 4060 Ti & the GeForce RTX 4060 GPUs. For users who were looking to buy a Founders Edition variant, the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 & 4060 Ti GPU price drops can be seen as a great thing. Such deals are expected to pop up in the US in the next few weeks at certain retailers too.
