Only refreshing thing,is that clearly,L's actor seems to have read the manga or watched the anime and sometimes makes little gestures in perfect L Style. too bad that the writing of everyone and the whole plot,him included shadows this only good detail.

This movie sucked. I truly don't think the director took the time to watch the anime or learning the characters to really understand death note. The only best part of the movie was William Defoe as ryuk. I would never recommend anyone to watch this movie ever. No hate to the cast but this movie was poorly made.
