Google Pixel Watch 2: UK pricing emerges as leaked promotional video confirms new features
Roland Quandt has solved one of the final pieces in the Pixel Watch 2 puzzle. Much has been said about Google's second-generation smartwatch so far, including from Google itself. However, it remained unclear how much the company would charge for its Pixel Watch follow-up.
According to Quandt, Google will charge £349 for the Pixel Watch 2, presumably for its Wi-Fi-only variant. If that is the case, then Pixel Watch 2 will retail for £10 more than its predecessor. As such, we imagine that the LTE version will edge up by the same amount to £389. Either way, even the cheapest Pixel Watch 2 will cost more than the Galaxy Watch6 and TicWatch Pro 5, as well as the forthcoming Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro.
Separately, 91mobiles has published a new Pixel Watch 2 promotional video. Embedded below, the video confirms that Google has included a skin temperature sensor this time around, plus an EDA sensor, 50-metre water resistance, and wired fast charging. Please note that the latter requires a 30 W power adapter and is limited to 2.5 W, half that of some of its competitors. The Pixel Watch 2 will debut on October 4 alongside the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, pricing for which have also recently emerged.
