Intel Core i3-14100 quad-core desktop CPU is priced at $150 by first US retailer

First Intel 14th Gen Core Desktop CPU with 60W TDP on sale in the US

ShopBLT has listed an unreleased quad-core CPU from the new intel series. 

Two things are certain at this point, this year is about to end and there is a new wave of Intel desktop CPUs coming early next year. Part of this deployment will be Core i3-14100, which is to be among the slowest CPUs in the new Raptor Lake Refresh lineup.

As we have learned earlier this month, the Core i3-14100 will feature four Performance cores with no access to Efficient core cluster. This part will offer a turbo clock up to 4.7 GHz, which represents a 200 MHz uplift over i3-14100. There is no change to the core count, though.

This part was just spotted at ShopBLT with a price of $150.27, almost the same price as the i3-13100 at the same store ($148.49). It is important to highlight that the current-gen part has officially a MSRP of $134 for 1K units.

Chinese media ECSM recently provided a sneak peek of the i3-14100, confirming its TDP at 60W, with the capability to reach up to 68.57W during an AIDA64 stability test. It is expected that this SKU will boast an official MTP (Max Turbo Power) of 89W, unless Intel has made changes  to the specifications in this ‘generation.’

Intel is expected to unveil and launch 14th Gen Core desktop CPUs featuring a TDP of less than 125W at CES 2024. Earlier speculations suggested that this introduction might take place around January 8th.
