Sapphire releases first graphics card with overclocked memory in months

Sapphire has unveiled a new version of their Radeon RX 6750 GRE graphics card.

The AURORA Edition of Radeon RX 6750 GRE stands out for several key reasons. It represents Sapphire’s first attempt into blue-colored Radeon cards since Polaris series, the RX 590 NITRO Special Edition comes to mind. Furthermore, it’s been quite a while since we’ve seen memory overclocking in a card like this.

AMD has introduced two SKUs with closely resembling names, both under the RX 6750 GRE banner. The RX 6750 GRE AURORA is based on the 12GB model, which translates to more cores, increased memory, and a higher TDP. In essence, this Sapphire card resembles a down-clocked RX 6750 XT more than the 12GB model.

Official specifications indicate that the card offers game and boost clocks at 2475/2585 MHz, respectively. However, the standout feature is the memory clock. Unlike AMD’s reference 2000 MHz (16 Gbps), this particular model boasts a higher speed of 2250 MHz (18 Gbps), aligning it with the memory specifications of the RX 6750 XT.

Measuring at 31 centimeters in length, this card features a substantial 2.5 slot design, complete with a metallic blue shroud and backplate. It’s equipped with three fans to handle cooling.

The company provided some benchmarks featuring this model, claiming it to be faster than RTX 4060, but then most RX 6750 GRE 12GB models are expected to be faster. The card is now listed on Chinese e-tail platforms for around 2699 RMB so about 13% higher price and MSRP (2379 RMB) for RX 6750 GRE 12GB in China.
