There are several important launches this month

January may be one of the most interesting months for PC hardware fans.

Next week marks the start of CES 2024, one of the most important events this year. Intel is set to reveal its latest desktop Core non-K SKUs from the 14th Gen Core “Raptor Lake Refresh” series, alongside the introduction of a mobile Core-HX variant with an increased TDP. Expect multiple gaming laptop announcements from popular brands such as MSI, Gigabyte, and ASUS, the latter planning a dedicated stream for the occasion called Transcendence, where new ROG monitors are also to be unveiled.

For enthusiasts focused on GPUs, CES 2024 kicks off with NVIDIA’s Special Address on January 8. During this session, NVIDIA will formally present the RTX 40 SUPER series, consisting of three SKUs: RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4070 SUPER. Each SKU will have distinct launch dates, and there will be separate embargoes for MSRP and non-MSRP models. The RTX 40 SUPER series is slated for release on January 17, 24, and 31, respectively.

Unlike its competitors, AMD has no live event planned for CES 2024, having already unveiled its Ryzen 8000 “Hawk Point” series in early December. Expect laptops, Mini-PCs, and handheld gaming systems featuring this hardware to hit the market this quarter. Additionally, AMD is gearing up to launch its Ryzen 8000G desktop APU series, incorporating Zen4/RDNA3 architectures, although the exact release date is yet to be announced.

Notably, a new Radeon desktop GPU, the RX 7600 XT, is set to launch this month, with expectations pointing towards its appearance in the fourth week. While the rumored date of January 24 is unconfirmed, it aligns with the information circulating in the industry.

The upcoming month promises a lot of activity in the tech world, with each company preparing to unveil new hardware. So, stay tuned, we will do our best to cover it before it even hits the market.
