Meteor Lake and Dragon Range in Minisforum 2024 high-end Mini-PCs
At CES 2024, Minisforum showcased its flagship devices for 2024, among which were Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and Ryzen 9 7945HX powered MiniPCs.
Minisforum is set to be among the early adopters of the Core Ultra 100 series in the Mini-PC arena. The upcoming PC will showcase the highest SKU in the series, namely the Ultra 9 185H, the only SKU in the Intel lineup with a default 45W TDP. While Minisforum hasn’t divulged the specific configuration of this processor, it is confirmed to ship with 16 cores and 22 threads utilizing Intel’s hybrid architecture, combining Redwood Cove and Crestmont cores.
This processor will grant access to Intel’s latest Xe-LPG graphics architecture, recognized as Arc (Alchemist) – the same version found in discrete graphics under the Arc brand, but fine-tuned for low-power workloads. The Ultra 9 185H is expected to feature 8 Xe-Cores.
Minisforum has announced that this Mini-PC will boast an additional touch screen on the front, inclusive of a built-in 1080p camera and vertical stand. Clearly targeting productivity and home entertainment, this design caters to users engaging in video conferencing and power users who wish to monitor system stats directly on the device, eliminating the need for third-party hardware.
The HX200X model is slated to support up to two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM memory slots, accommodating a maximum capacity of 96GB. Additionally, it will feature two PCIe M.2 Gen4x4 SSD slots and provision for an SD-Card reader.
Shifting focus to AMD-powered systems, Minisforum introduces the HX200G, powered by the Ryzen 9 7945HX high-end mobile processor. This processor, equipped with 16 Zen4 cores, matches the flagship desktop SKU. Lacking the X3D in its name, the 3D V-Cache is not available in this variant. The system is complemented by a discrete GPU, the Radeon RX 7600XT MXT, a Navi 33 mobile graphics solution with 32 Compute Units.
Featuring a four-fan cooling design capable of dissipating up to 85 watts from the CPU and 120 watts from the GPU simultaneously, all while maintaining a noise level of 45 dB, Minisforum emphasizes that this marks the company’s first system with PCIe Gen5 SSD support.
Although Minisforum has not disclosed pricing or release dates for these products, further information is anticipated in the upcoming weeks.
