GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER gets a first price cut
It’s now $10 cheaper a month after release.
Just about a month ago, on January 17th, the RTX 4070 SUPER hit the market, positioned as a faster alternative to its non-SUPER counterpart. The plan was for the SUPER variant not to replace the older model, but rather to coexist on the market. NVIDIA has decided to slip RTX 4070 SUPER into the same MSRP range as its predecessor, while the original version has received an official price reduction.
The official price cut for the RTX 4070 non-SUPER was more of a formality, as the card had already been available at around $530 for several weeks before the updated model’s launch. The $599 price tag for the RTX 4070 SUPER is starting to catch on to board partners, who realize that it might not be as super after all.

ZOTAC has taken the lead in making a price adjustment for their model, becoming the first brand to do so. The non-OC version of the Twin Edge is now on the US market at $589, reflecting a $10 reduction.
It’s worth noting that this price adjustment is specific to this particular model and is limited to two retailers. The limited but targeted nature of this change suggests that it was a planned adjustment, we have only stumbled on this price change a few hours ago.
