The non-SUPER RTX 4070 Ti breaks $700 price point

Product discontinuation continues.

It was inevitable, the RTX 4070 Ti which came out last year at $799 has already been replaced with a SUPER version last month. While the stocks of the original SKU were already running low when the 4070 Ti SUPER came out, some brands did not sell all units on time. Enter MSI, whose Ventus 2X model is still available, but now at a much lower price.

The MSI Ventus 2X model is a budget-oriented model with two fans. This particular model has no factory-overclocking. Newegg and MSI are actually running two promotions, also for a white edition, which costs $30 more. However, it is only the black/silver SKU available at $699 with the $50 promo code included.

If there’s something that recent price changes on Newegg have shown is that other retailers are likely to follow suit. It is also not a secret that MSI has become the quickest board partner to adjust pricing for its GeForce and Radeon models.

The RTX 4070 Ti price cut appears just as Radeon RX 7900 XT has now dropped to new price as well. Interestingly, now both the RX 7900 XT and RTX 4070 Ti are now available at $699. Performance wise, the Radeon RX 7900 XT may be a better choice. This model also has a lot more memory (20GB vs. 12GB). On the other hand, the RTX 4070 Ti requires less power.

Moreover, remember to check your favorite retailers, some may agree to price match with Newegg.
