Uhm these simply look like videos that may have been created in a "Reels" style and then posted to Linkedin. That's no proof Linkedin is testing AGAIN short form content. For a while now, "members" have been repurposing Reels styled content for their audience here. So what's new?

I personally feel very excited about this. With the raise of AI, creating written content has become mainstream has flooded the platform. Video is (and will remain for a while) a much reacher and authentic communication medium. Especially when addressing niche topics like technology it gives the chance to teach and show what would be impossible on written form. Let's just hope LinkedIn will be able to add extra value to original content and deprioritize the "creators" who just recycle and repost 90% of the time.

LinkedIn Video-Feed – So ziemlich die dümmste Idee nach LinkedIn Stories! Es gibt drei wesentliche Merkmale einer guten 9:16 Video-Plattform: 🧱 1. Frequenz: Nutzer*innen sind regelmäßig und lange auf der Plattform um den Algorithmus zu trainieren, so sehen sie mehr relevante Inhalte und die Retention steigt. => Der ø-Nutzer schaut zweimal in der Woche für 20 MInuten auf die Plattform, damit trainiert man keinen Algorithmus. -——- 🧱 2. Creator: Für Creator "lohnt" es sich für die Plattform Inhalte zu erstellen, dafür gibt es Funktionen wie Musik (Rechte-Management), Video-Bearbeitungstools uvm. und natürlich ein Monetariesierungsmodell. => Creator-Tools wird's wohl keine geben, Musik von der Plattform auch nicht Monetarisierungsmodelle für Creator ganz sicher nicht. -——- 🧱 3. Trends – All diese Plattformen leben von Hashtags, Locations, Sounds, Stitches, Stickern, Filtern und all den kleinen und großen Funktionen, die es den Core-Nutzer*innen ermöglichen mit den Inhalten zu interagieren und damit Viralität zu erzeugen. => Das ist nicht die Art wie Nutzer im Kontext ihres persönlichen "Business Profils" oder gar "Corporate Influencer" mit Inhalten interagieren. -——- #socialmedia #linkedin #verticalvideo

Do you know how it works? If I have the beta test and post a short video to my feed, does it automatically go to this new video feed? How about company pages I manage, does it work for company pages too?

Thanks for the update, Austin. IF they can get it right and the experience is good (unlike their attempt at Stories), I think this could be pretty big. I noticed they moved the post (+) to the top by Search and Messages and gave Video priority at the bottom, so it's apparent they want this to work. We'll see, but I'm game to give it a try! Appreciate you sharing this with us. 🙇♂️
