First look at RTX 4070 SUPER from ZOTAC
The company is set to launch three GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER cards.
ZOTAC is set to unveil its brand-new TRINITY BLACK and TWIN EDGE series based on NVIDIA RTX 4070 SUPER SKU in less than a week. We obtained some renders of these new designs.
The RTX 4070 SUPER Trinity Black will use three fans, just like the non-SUPER version. Judging from the available images, the company has implemented some minor changes to the heatsink, but the shroud and fan design appears to be the same. Moreover, since RTX 4070 Trinity already came with one 12VHPWR power connector, there is no change in that regard either.
What will change, however, are the GPU specs, moving from 5888 CUDA cores to 7168. Furthermore, the GPU power requirements will be increased from 200W to 220W.
In the Twin Edge series, you can choose between models with or without factory overclocking. The series will also mark a shift from the standard 8-pin power connector to the more contemporary 12VHPWR design. Although the 8-pin connector remains capable of delivering the required power (220W), ZOTAC has adopted the newer connector design. As far as we know, the majority of custom RTX 4070 SUPER models are expected to employ the 16-pin connector as well.
The ZOTAC RTX 4070 SUPER cards will be officially announced on January 8, but they will only be available 9 days later. The company is yet to confirm full specs and pricing.
